Service for Sight is an international philanthropic effort for sight conservation and aid to the blind. Each year, Delta Gammas donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to programs and research institutes such as: The American Foundation for the Blind, Delta Gamma sponsored Blind Centers across the US, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for visually impaired children to attend Space Camp, and Seedlings Braille Books for Children, just to name a few.
Last year's Anchor Splash was held on May 9 from 5:00pm- 7:00pm at the Lawrence University pool. We had a great turn out and were able to watch five groups perform wacky relay races, synchronize swim, and play fun games in the pool. We were able to raise about $800!
There was a raffle and prizes were given to the teams that participated. Last year the Beta Theta Pi team won first place! Great job guys!!
Prizes Included: Avenue Jewelers, Erberts and Gerberts, The Fire, D'Vons Lingerie, Plato's Closet, Starbucks, Pilgrims Cafe, Home, etc and many many more! |
