Volunteer

  • Special Music. Our small congregation doesn't have much musical talent, so we would like to extend the invitation for a Lawrence student or students to occasionally present Special Music during our worship service. We would like to schedule it on the second Saturday of the month as we have an awesome potluck meal after the service and would like you and a friend or two to be our guest. The Worldwide Church of God meets on Saturdays at 1:30 pm at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 740 E. College Ave. Contact Pastor Steve (920) 984-4567.

Academic

  • Harvey Graduate Fellowships.  A competitive $15,000/year stipend for committed Christian students pursuing a graduate degree at top institutions, especially in programs where there are few Christians.  For more information, talk to Professor John Ito and check out www.msfdn.org.

Summer

  • Chapter Camp (also called Chapter FOCUS week, Cedar Campus) is a week long opportunity to grow in faith and Christian leadership skills at a beautiful spot on Lake Huron. See the brochure for more information or check out the Cedar Campus link.
  • Summer Urban Project in Milwaukee! An opportunity with InterVarsity to serve in the inner city and learn about urban ministry, poverty, race and reconciliation. The Milwaukee Summer Immersion program runs June 17-30. The cost is $340 per participant, but there are significant scholarship funds available! Informational brochure.
  • IVCF Global Projects. Opportunities for student missions are available around the world. Some are in places that only students can go. Look at global projects and global urban trek under "missions" at http://www.intervarsity.org/.
