Committee Reports
Spring Break
-Heidi Busse talked about a spring break opportunity in Arkansas
-help is needed on a ranch
-cost is $130 without food or transportation
-partial funding for transportation will come from the Geology department
-signed up to table at Downer for a volunteer opportunity
-Beth Halpern and Zach Walker talked about the Habitat for Humanity spring
break trip to Georgia
-cost is $200 without fundraising
-a maximum of 30 people can go
-they will leave Friday after finals and come back Sunday before classes
begin
-discussed the two possibilities and voted in favor of the Arkansas one

Fundraising
-made around $30 from the breakfast sale
-will discuss the future of the sales at the next Fundraising Committee
Meeting on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:30PM in the coffeehouse

Service
-Michelle learned that other Lambda Sigma groups in the country fill their
service hours through group projects, rather than individual projects
-the large group briefly discussed this issue, and the Service Committee
will address it at their next meeting
-service hours must be reported to Megan C. by Friday, December 10
-volunteers are needed for faculty babysitting on Friday, November 19
-volunteer opportunities:
-Southern African Medical Supplies.  Saturday, November 20, 9AM- 12PM.
Call Beth at  x7421.
-Festival of Trees with the Appleton Art Center.  Saturday, November 20,
and Sunday, November 21.  Shifts are from 9:30-11:30AM, 11:30AM- 1:30PM,
1-3PM, and 3-5PM.  Activities will include making Christmas decorations
and ornaments with kids while their parents see the exhibit. 
Transportation will be provided.  Call Megan C. at the Volunteer Center.
-Santa Paws with the Humane Association.  Sunday, November 21, at the
Valley Fair Mall.  Need photographers from 10AM-2PM and 2-5PM, Santa from
2-5PM, reception from 1-5PM, and sales from 10AM-1PM.
-Housing Partnership, Saturday, December 4 from 8AM-12PM.  Call Beth at
x7421.
-Tutors are needed.  Call Debbie at the Volunteer Center.
-Service Committee will meet Sunday, November 21 at 6:30PM in the Sage
lounge

Social
-will have birthday parties once a term for the people celebrating birthdays
in those months
-the first party will be on Monday, November 22, at 9PM in Plantz
basement
-will plan Secret Santa and Christmas activities
-let Jenni or Krista know if you want to be excluded from any activities

Publicity

Historian
-no new business

Decided to have the thank you activity during second term

There will be a large group meeting on Sunday, November 21 at 7PM instead of
Sunday, December 5.

Discussed the possibility of eliminating Improvement Committee meetings and
replacing them with large group dinner meetings.
