Lambda Sigma Meeting Minutes
Monday, October 13, 2008, 8-8:15 PM

• Officer Reports
• President
•  The Crop Walk was a success! Thanks to all who participated.
• Next week will be a short meeting
• T-shirt design deadline has been extended to next Monday. Christine for sure has some plans and will continue to work on those.
• If anyone has donations for the Crop Walk, please give them to Ari and she will see that they make it to the right person

• Contact Jami ASAP if you will be attending the CHAIN Reaction day October 25 and/or the Boo Bash on the 30-31. Also, please remember what you sign up for. People depend on us to help out and it’s pretty disrespectful to just not show up.

• Sam the webmaster has updated the website and we can now keep track of our hours online.
• Social:
• A vote was taken and it was decided that a “Movies, Music, and Margarita’s” night will be our first event. This will take place probably a Friday evening. Date/time/movie choices will be sent out in an e-mail.
• Old Business
• Adrienne Gallagher from the Volunteer Center has some great volunteer opportunities. Contact her for more info!
•  There is a need for VITAL tutors who would be willing to work about 1 hr/week tutoring an Appleton student in the library on various subjects.
• The Emergency Shelter (Near the PAC) always needs extra help. They need people to perform secretarial duties (a few hours at a time), to clean, and to cook.
• People are needed to help set up the giving tree(s) at Walmart. Possibly we could start something like this on campus?
•  Nov 11 is the Emergency Shelter Annual Benefit Gala and they need people to help serve, control the crowds, etc.
• New Business
• Bjorklunden! There are opportunities for us to go to Bjork winter or spring term. Our first choice is Jan 16-18. If we can’t go then, we will try to aim for Feb. 6-8 or perhaps an early weekend spring term. This trip will be mandatory, but fun!

• Posters are around campus for the Saturday of Service opportunities. Keep your eyes open and we will discuss more about this next week.
• Toiletries drive will take place later on in the year.
