Lambda Sigma Minutes
March 27th

1. We had an update from the fundraising committee. They had much to say.

A. We passed around a sheet to sign up to help sell pizza. Jenny will send instructions and the poster to hang out by e-mail. Good job everyone.

B. Leila talked about “Spring Crush”. You can buy a can of soda for your lova, motha (if she goes here), friend or a random person. It only costs $1 to give them a can of soda and a special note. You can also put insurance on your can if you are sending it to your crush. You pay an extra 50 cents and they won’t be able to find out that you sent it. If you don’t do this and your crush pays fifty cents he/she will be able to figure out that you sent it! Fun. Oh boy, oh boy. We signed up to table for that too.

C. We’re going to advertise the pizza sale on facebook. And yours truly will do it and send it to all the saaaweeet people that will partake in such an event.

D. Later: We may have a car wash, sell coffee at the library, and we might do Date-a-Dork! The dorks being us. People would pay to date us. We thought we might have something we like to do that can get us sold, like “loves to make cookies” and you’d make whoever buys you cookies. MUCH to look forward to. Oh boy, oh boy.

2. Shout out to Mrs. Bergs.

3. Do you want to go to bjork? Probably. Jena will check to see if there is any weekends open so that we can go to the lodge of wonder.

4. Selection committee updates! –They had a short meeting after our meeting to divide up times to hold the interviews. 46 people applied and we accept about 30 people! Yeah LS!

5. The Serivice committee then gave us an update.

A. A middle school dance
B. Go and answer questions about college- “secondary education”
C. Plant a tree or something for Earth Day on April 22nd
D. Be in charge of an after school program


E. Participate in the MS walk! We decided that we think this is a fabulous idea. You can walk 3.1 or 7.5 miles in this walk. In order to register as a team, we need to raise $400. Also, if you don’t want to walk as part of our team you could also volunteer, all day in the morning from 6-11am or from 10-3, you could also help us raise the money. This is on the 23rd. Check in for the walk begins at 9am. This would be our big service project so everyone would have to participate in some way. They help us fundraise, and the walk starts at Fox Cities Stadium.

*Next week before the meeting we are going to have a service committee meeting. SO be there at 7:50pm.

6. Street team! People who signed up to do it put down times that they were available. Jena will e-mail you soon.

7. Feinstein challenge! Help SWAHP and the hungry by bringing canned food goods (or any nonperishable food item) to Lambda Sigma meetings. If we raise the most items then Lambda Sigma gets a pizza party. Rockin’

8. Jenny told the publicity committee that we’ll need posters for the pizza deal and the spring crush etc. Jenny and Natasha and Peter will work out the details.

9. Wolf of the week: Caitlin for forgetting the lamb! But she’ll deliver it to LEILA SAHAR!!!!!!!! Who is the wonderful lamb of the week. Why, you might ask? Because she is sweeet and won the BEST WITNESS at the NATIONAL competition for Mock Trial. That is soooo cool! Way to go Leila. She is amazing!!!
