April 3^rd

1. Selections Committee!!!

*They are doing such an excellent job!!! (way to go Andy etc)

*they had over 40 interviews this weekend

*that amounts to over 12 hours of interviews!

*ideas about initiation? Let us know!!! E-mail Jena!

--Initiation is May 1^st- very important that you be there! That’s a Monday during our normal meeting times so you HAVE to come!

-we will pick up our sweet as funk little lambs between 8 and 8:15pm and start initiation by 8:30pm!

We need ideas ideas and ideas!

2. Fundraising Committee!!!

A. Spring Crush Sale!

-Jena volunteered to buy the crush cans

-We signed up to meet in the union at 4:30pm on Saturday to tape on the slips and distribute the cans

-hopefully publicity made some signs: Peter was going to make them- someone will talk to him tonight to make sure he’s on that!

-When you’re working make sure to label the slips with numbers are you go along because Leila copied them but didn't number them all! Don’t forget!

B. Pizza sales

-the last pizza sale was sub-oar

-they only had 5 pizzas which they thought worked out well

-sweet because someone bought 2 whole pizzas from them. Haha.

-but the Ormsby people were mean! Slamming doors, complaining etc. Mean mean.

3. Service Committee

A. We are doing the MS walk

- we have a website!

-Nicki will try to send us invites since we all need to go on and register independently

-our name is the LU SWEEEEEET lambs

-This walk is Sunday, April 23^rd, check in starts at 9am, while the walk starts at 10am. We are walking 3.1 miles

B. Earth day

-we’re not 100% sure, but might do something on April 30^th, such as going to parks and schools and cleaning them up!

C. We might have a Mom’s Day Out babysitting deal!

-we would tell faculty and community members to drop off their children and we’d play with them and eat with them for awhile for free. We’d probably have two 3 hour shifts and we’d need everyone to participate!

-This is tentatively scheduled for May 13^th (Saturday)

3. Feinstein Challenge! We’re losing. Amnesty International went door to door for cans, while Circle K got a $50 donation. Step it up lambs so that we can get our sweet pizza party. Just bring in some cans to help people who are having a rough time and don’t have enough money to pay for food!

We also signed up for dorm-storms. This is on Easter Sunday from 9-10pm. We are going around the dorms and asking for donations or nonperishable food items. It’ll be sweet. They’ll still be more time to sign up, or you can e-mail Sam to participate (gibbs@lawrence.edu) Fabulous!

4. SWAHP wants to team-up with Lambda Sigma to participate in Shack-a-thon! It’ll be SWEEEEEET I’m sure. We’ll probably have the best shack. Hands down.

-Also Sam and I thought of a sweet fundraising idea. All we do is get cheap white clothes and then stand outside and have people give a dollar if they want to help paint us. Sweet. Probably the sweetest idea in the world.

5. Social Committee

-Keep April 30^th open: that’s when we’ll make treats for initiation

6. Lamb of the week: Andy! He spent over 12 hours interviewing the potential new lambs and did an awesome job! Way to go! Leila will deliver the lamb to you, Andy as soon as possible! Hooray for Andy O!
