Lambda Sigma Meeting

October 25th

• Meeting started at 8:15 p.m

• Quick info for Bjorklunden next week!

• We will be leaving Wednesday at 6:00pm sharp from the Turnaround outside the library and we will be back on campus Friday by 5pm

• Emily passed around a sign-up sheet for the trip. If you were not at the meeting or did not sign the sheet please e-mail Emily your name, Gender, and any Dietary needs (including vegetarian meals) ASAP

• Committee reports:

  • Publicity: Mandy showed us wonderful t-shirt designs and we voted on which design we liked best as well as the color! Results will be announced at the next meeting! ;)

  • Fundraising: Danielle passed around a sign-up sheet to receive the boxes for our UNICEF fundraiser. If you did not sign this sheet and want to participate, please e-mail Danielle so she can kindly provide you with a box when they come in. Just a reminder: If you raise 10 dollars, you will receive two lambda sigma service hours! Yea!! 

  • Service: Claire stepped in for Kelsey tonight and informed us that Book bash is operating this Thursday and Friday! The coordinator still needs many helpers, so if you are willing to help please let Claire know ASAP! You can work shifts anytime between 3-10!

  • Social: Social didn’t get a chance to speak tonight! SAD!!

  • Selection: This group is still in hiding! But Micha does have the disk now for what that’s worth!

• Emily and Linda will be attending the national convention this weekend so wish them well if you see them!!

• Plan for next week will be to devote a lot of time to committee meetings and get the schedule set for Bjorklunden!

• IMPORTANT: If you have any comments about how meetings are run (or committees for that matter) please talk to Emily about it. We want to make this a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone! It’s our organization and thus we are only as good as the members!! Please speak up if you have any questions, concerns, or even better SUGGESTIONS!!
