Lambda Sigma Meeting Minutes

Selection Committee Business

A sign-up sheet was passed around for people to help out with the

selection process. Interviews will be held April 12-14. If you were

not at the meeting, contact Mary Murray if you can help out.

Information sessions about Lambda Sigma will be held on March 11, 14,

and April 2.

Service Committee Business

Tutors are always needed for the VITAL program. If you would like to

tutor a child, contact the volunteer center. (It's a great way to take

care of service hours!)

The ABC phone-a-thon will be held on February 5 and 6 from 5:30-9 pm.

Volunteers will be calling Lawrence professors and staff if they would

like to buy tickets for a play. Contact Wenjie if you would like to

take part in this opportunity.

We couldn't help out at Lucinda's on Monday because it was closed.

Everyone is invited to help on Wednesday.

Housing demolition - Saturday, January 26, 11:30-4:30. Meet in Colman

lounge.

Wine tasting benefit - February 23, 6:30-10:30 pm.

Elizabeth found some information about creating a partnership with

Parkview Health Center. This way we could visit elderly on a regular

basis. There was a general enthusiasm for starting the partnership.

Fundraising Committee Business

Trivia Weekend: Selling juice and bagels. Poonam will give us more

information through email.

Social Committee Business

We will be having a movie night over reading period.

SOUP - We can send a representative to the meeting on January 22 at 8 pm

in Riverview. They will be discussing opinions of past entertainment

and new ideas for entertainment on campus.

There will be an Improvement Committee Dinner on Thursday at 5:15 pm in

Room F of Downer. All lambs are welcome.
