Lambda Sigma Meeting Minutes for November 19

Everyone was at the meeting!!

Yeah for the pizza sale!!  We made $78.80.

We got the Diamond (lambda sigma newsletter) in the mail.  Everyone check out Chris’ article!

While at Bjorklunden, several of the members came up with service, fundraising, and social ideas for the year.

Here are the upcoming events for this term:

Adopt-A-Family

Christmas Caroling for canned goods on December 3

“Lick those Finals” Candy Canes on December 5

We had a vote for our next fellowship event between dinner and bowling.  We decided that we would go cosmic bowling on December 1.

More will be discussed on these events at our next meeting.

We had a discussion about a possible spring break trip.  Thoughts brought up during this discussion include:

- Cost per person.  We thought we should keep the cost around $50.

- Cost of the vans.  Lambda Sigma would have to pay up to $1000 for vans.  It should be put into consideration that we would need to fundraise this amount of money so that it is there for the next group.

- Number of people who would be able to go on a spring break trip.  It seems that only about half of the group would be able to go on the trip, so it should be put into consideration how much money we should spend on only part of the group. 

Wenjie brought up the idea that maybe instead of having a spring break trip; we could have more social events held throughout the year.  We will vote on this at the next meeting.
