Fundraising Committee:  We’ll be having a pizza sale on Nov. 19 in Plantz Hall.  There are two shifts: 4:30-5:30 (set-up) and 5:30-6:30 (clean-up).  We also need people to put us signs for the event.  If you were not at the meeting, please contact Poonam to sign up for a shift or to help with signs.  Working at the pizza sale will not count towards service hours.

Publicity Committee:  Amy Seeboth will be leaving Lambda Sigma.  We’ll miss you Amy!!  Chris Chan will now be publicity committee chair.

Service Committee:

A speaker from Big Brother/Big Sisters came and spoke to us about mentoring programs.  Two programs that our possible for us are:

 -  Mentoring a child during their lunch period 1 day a week or after school (between 3:30 and 6) for 1 hour a week.

-         Mentoring in a club based program.  You would meet with a child at the Boys and Girls Club between 3 and 7, for 1 hour, 1 day a week.

As a group, we could sponsor an activity to invite all of the big brothers/sisters and little brothers/sisters.

If you would like more information, you can contact the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region at 739-3542.

Erin K. is looking into having us sort food at a local food pantry and helping at an emergency shelter.

Donna D. goes to the Clothes Closet every Wednesday (5:45-8 pm) to help with clothes sorting.  She can take up to four people.  If you’re interested in gaining some service hours, contact Donna.
