Lambda Sigma Meeting Minutes

February 18, 2002

A reminder for everyone who signed up to usher at the convo on

Thursday. Be there at 10:45 am and wear black and white.

People are also needed for faculty babysitting, this Friday, February

22.

KRISPY KREME SALE

- Letters will be going out to all faculty, staff, fraternity houses,

and small houses. The letters will have a sheet for them to fill out

and return to Linda.

- If you sell more than 10 boxes of krispy kremes, that will count

towards one hour of service for this term.

- Whoever sells the most boxes gets a free box of krispy kremes!!

- Everyone has an order form and envelope…put all of the money you

receive in the envelope and return it to Linda at Raymond house no later

than 5 pm, on Monday, February 27. (I will be campus-mailing the order

forms/envelopes to everyone who was not as the meeting.)

- All checks need to be made out to Lawrence University

- The delivery will be on March 7.

- All of the spots for tabling were full for this week, so we will be

tabling next week. If you cannot table at the time you signed up for

next week, please talk to Wenjie. We will be tabling on Thursday and

Friday, even though order forms are due Wednesday. We will probably

order a couple extra boxes for people who order on Thursday and Friday.

- Chris C. made signs and divided them up amongst the publicity

committee.

Don't forget about your service hours!! You can visit the Volunteer

Center's website or stop by (it's behind the info desk). You can also

contact Donna D. for some upcoming service opportunities.

AIDS Awareness Tournament - Saturday, February 23, 1-4 pm. We can sign

up a team for $20. There are prizes for the top three teams. If you

are interested in putting together a team, contact Wenjie and tell her

if you would like to play basketball or volleyball.

Five nominees are up for the Lambda Sigma scholarship. If you were not

at the meeting, please turn your vote in to Linda by this Wednesday,

February 20. The nominees are:

-Poonam Kumar

-Wenjie Chen

Less than 2/3 of the members were at the meeting, so it would be really

great if everyone votes!

The next meeting will be on Monday, February 25 at 8 pm in Sage.
