Lambda Sigma Meeting Minutes

April 29, 2002

Absent:

A sign-up sheet went around the room for new members to write down their

email, campus, and home addresses.

Clean-up at Bjorklunden is this Saturday, May 4. We will be taking two

vans and will be meeting at the Wriston turnaround at 8 am. The vans

should return to Lawrence at approx. 5 pm.

Ushers are needed for the convocation on Tuesday, April 30. Please be

at the chapel at 10:45 am, dressed in black and white. The new members

were also invited to help usher.

Wenjie announced to the new members about the clean-up for Celebrate.

It will be on May 11, sometime towards the end of the day.

Shack-A-Thon - May 18 and 19. The Volunteer center is holding this

activity to raise money for the local Habitat for Humanity. We will be

building a shack, and at all times there has to be someone in our shack,

so we will probably take shifts. We are supposed to get sponsors for

each hour we are in the shack. The volunteer center will provide

breakfast and lunch, and there will also be entertainment. It is the

same time as ormsby zoo days. The freshmen are also welcome to

participate in this activity.

Courtney spoke to the freshmen about the afterschool program and passed

around background checks so that they could also participate.

The officer election for the new members will be on May 6, at 7 pm

(before the actual meeting).

The next lambda sigma meeting will be on Monday, May 6 at 8 pm in Sage

Lounge.
