Officers

President

The President is the executive officer of the chapter, the liaison with the campus and Fraternity, a member ex officio of all chapter committees, except the Nominating Committee, and a member ex officio of the House Board.

Vice President-Standards

The Vice President-Standards is chairman of the Standards Committee, which is responsible for the maintenance of chapter harmony, the education and maintenance of Fraternity standards and new member conferences.

Vice President-Organization

The Vice President-Organization coordinates chapter Management Action Plan (MAP) with her committee, and presides at chapter meetings in the absence of the President and Vice President-Standards.

Recording Secretary

The Recording Secretary keeps a permanent record of chapter and Chapter Council meetings, calls roll, and takes attendance when required.

Corresponding Secretary

The Corresponding Secretary answers and files chapter correspondence as directed. She is responsible for sending required reports to Province, Regional and Fraternity Officers and to Fraternity Headquarters.

Treasurer

The Treasurer maintains accurate and complete financial records for the chapter; issues bills; disburses payments; and prepares, with chapter committees, the operating budget.

Registrar

The Registrar maintains the records, archives and history of the chapter. She serves as Chairman of the Catalog Committee.

Marshal

The Marshal serves as chairman of the Ritual Committee, responsible for the order of the chapter rooms, Inspiration Period and for preparation for initiation and all services using Ritual.

Education Chairman


The Education Chairman plans and coordinates the chapter Education program. She should show creativity and interest in research, and an interest in building and maintaining a resource file.

House Chairman

The House Chairman, with her committee, adviser and the House Board, formulates, for chapter approval, house rules and regulations. She is an ex officio House Board member and acts as liaison to the House Director.

Membership Chairman

The Membership Chairman plans and coordinates all activity for the selection of new members, including the membership recruitment budget.

New Member Chairman

The New Member Chairman, with her committee, is responsible for all aspects of the New Member Program, and assists in the formulation of Kores and selection of mentors with the Standards Committee. She is also a member of the Standards Committee.

Panhellenic Delegate

The Panhellenic Delegate is elected as chapter representative to the campus Panhellenic organization and works to promote cooperation with other fraternities and sororities.

Philanthropy Chairman

The Philanthropy Chairman, with the help of her committee, plans and supervises the philanthropy program.

Public Relations Chairman

The Public Relations Chairman, with the help of her committee, works to promote good relations with alumnae, faculty, administration, the campus, fraternity groups, and plans and edits the chapter’s news publication.

Risk Management Chairman

The Risk Management Chairman is responsible for educating Chapter Council and the chapter members about risk management guidelines and policies.

Vice President- Academic Excellence

The Vice President- Academic Excellence, with her committee, promotes academic awareness, supervises scholarship and provides assistance to members when needed. She sees that the chapter’s grades are at least equal to or exceed the all-sorority average each term.

Event Chairman

The Event Chairman and her committee plan and coordinate chapter social functions and promote chapter hospitality in both formal and informal affairs. The Event Committee and House Committee ensure that there is no alcohol on Kappa property.
