Happy Friday! Sorry this is so late getting out. Here are
the Greenfire minutes:

Amazing first meeting. So many people, so much experience,
keep it up!

Introductions: Amy and Steve:co-presidents,
Meera:'historian', Alex:custodian, and Noah...I'm sorry
dear I don't remember =(

The name Greenfire comes from Aldo Leopold's book A Sand
County Almnac where a man kills a wolf and as it lays
dying, he sees the GREEN FIRE in its eyes and then he
feels like a bad person.

Just a small review of things Greenfire has accomplished
in previous years:
*triple certified coffee at the coffeehouse (fair trade,
organic and shade grown)
*organic foods ad Downer
*massive earth day celebration
*clean plate club
**alternative gift market (a really cool way to get
friends and family socially responsible gifts)

In the future...
*a little something green campaign
*recyclables sorting
*George Meyer (visiting professor and former sectretary of
the Dept of Natural Resources)
*greenbuilding
*composting

There is also talk of moving the meetings to the Diversity
Center (blue house between sabin house and ORC)at 8:30.
Keep your eyes peeled to find out when we change.
