Hey-ho
Greenfire,
ELECTION DAY is
this TUESDAY, NOV. 2nd
– just a reminder for those of you that live in an isolated,
sterile world that you should stop watchin’ your stories and
vote, and go tell other people to vote too.
Wisconsin is a swing state, let’s swing it to Kerry, otherwise...I’m moving to Vancouver and you will be sad, infuriated, secretary-deprived Greenfirians…I’m actually half-way to the border already…
Everyone
should volunteer with the local Democratic Party, the Feingold
campaign, ACT (who pay 9 dollars an hour), and any other organization
you like. They’ll
take as many volunteers as they can get at any hour of the day they
can get them, and even for just an hour long phone-calling or
door-knocking session.
CO-OP Party tomorrow night 10-2 – This is me - publicly inviting all of you - to a house I don’t live in - for a live band shin-dig.
Besides
getting out the vote to Appleton folks, were responsible for some
buildings on campus; the chopping block:
Phi Delt – Noah
// Kohler – Alex W., Alex F., & Jesse // Draheim and Swing
– Allyn & Anna
The National Wildlife Federation gives out grants that can be used to pay for your education, along with money to be spent on a small project for those that apply to this grant. You have to talk about current and past environmental work, and then outline a small project. Grant receivers go to Washington DC expense-paid to a convention of all these grant receivers and you “get chummy” with them. They give out hundreds of these things – Application deadline is December 15th. Interested people should email Noa-vsky {noah.j.planavsky@lawrence.edu}.
LSG – I forged signs…Trever and Ormsby are dripping with these babies. Signs for Sage (Meera and Brian) and Kohler (Alex F.) are ready to be distributed and in our lobby, so if you see these potential sign-hanging people, either deluge them with inspirational messages from afar or offer a helping hand. Signs for Plantz and Coleman are all organized, unfortunately I came up short a dozen, but I absolutely positively promise that I’ll get everything done and finished by tomorrow when the clock strikes 5, for if I don’t consequences will be dire. So Plantz and Coleman people, I publicly apologize if you embarked on a well-intentioned trip over to our wonderful abode only to be stifled and humiliated, but you can come by and pick up your signs this weekend, you still might get stifled and/or humiliated (multiple times), though. If you wanna be sure that I have your stuff done, email me at (linealm@lawrence.edu), otherwise, happy hanging.
No
“formal” meeting next week because of reading period.
Ya’ll should come
over anyways and we could rock a little bit o’ hangin’
out. Expect
a more formal invitation next week.
I can’t believe I
actually managed to write more than was said at the meeting,
This
type of thing happens all
the time,
-Matt
