Term Projects
These are the ongoing projects that are "going" on. Bad puns aside, these projects go on throughout the year.
Feel free to join any one of these projects at any time that you wish. Contact Amy or Peter if you are interested.
Maintain signs above recycling bins - directing people to sort out their trash, and to separate paper from other recyclables. Possibly have one Greenfire member serve as the student contact for all recycling questions and problems that students have.
Maintain battery recycling cans at all dorms - places where students can throw their used batteries. Greenfire regularly gathers up batteries and ships them to the recycling center.
Maintain re-use paper bins- anywhere there’s a printer. These are not necessarily for student to use for printing (as that is technically against our insurance policy), but we suggest that students use them for note-taking, with the hope that many will use them for printing.
Little Something Green Campaign: This is our idea to make environmental issues as visible as possible on campus. It will involve posting Greenfire’s suggestions for all the little ways people can live more sustainable lives on campus.
