About Lawrence Scholars in Business

Launched in 2008, Lawrence Scholars in Business (LSB) is designed for students who are interested in distinguishing themselves as strong candidates for careers in the competitive world of business, including:

  • banking
  • consulting
  • marketing
  • arts management
  • insurance
  • international finance
  • entrepreneurship
  • investment management

During the 2010-11 academic year, 174 students and 32 alumni participated in seven LSB summits. Through the 2011 LSB Chicago field trip, students had the opportunity to connect with alumni at Copia Capital LLC, CME Group Inc., Deloitte & Touche LLP, Madison Dearborn Partners and Northern Trust, as well as visit the Chicago Board of Trade and the Federal Reserve Bank (read more about the trip here).

Lawrence Scholars in Business Scholarship

If you aspire to succeed in a career in business, you can apply for a LSB Scholarship (the scholarship deadline for the 2011-12 academic year has passed). Recipients will be awarded a stipend of $5,000 to be used toward career development and will have the opportunity to work closely with successful alumni who will guide them in pursuit of a highly competitive internship.
