After you enter your CRNs and click on the ‘Submit’ button, the Banner data system will attempt to fill your request. Courses for which you are successfully registered will be listed on your screen. You may also receive one or more error messages.
When encountering a registration error always check the CRN to make sure it wasn’t entered incorrectly. Do not leave the first block of the “add classes worksheet” blank and enter a CRN into a subsequent block. This will result in an error message for a valid CRN.
"You have no Registration Time Ticket..."
Standard sessions at Lawrence are terms, not semesters. Be sure you have selected the correct session in item (1) of the Register for Classes menu. If the session is correct and you still receive an error use item (2) on the Register for Classes menu to confirm your status for the term. If the problem is not resolved, please contact the Registrar's Office (x6578, email@example.com)
You have attempted to register for a class given on a campus for which you are not eligible (e.g. London). You may not register via the Web for off-campus classes except while on the student teaching semester. Students attending semester programs are not eligible to register for the overlapping terms. For example, a student who is student teaching in the fall semester is not eligible to register for a fall term class. Please call (x6578) or stop by the Registrar’s Office in Brokaw Hall for help with a “campus restriction” error.
“Closed:Instr Approval Req”
The class has been closed by the instructor. Please contact the instructor for approval to add the class. The instructor must record the approval using Voyager before you will be permitted to register.
To get on the waiting list, select 'Student Web Waitlisted' from the ACTION column and click on the 'Submit Changes' button. If you simply exit the form with out explicitly requesting waiting list status, you will NOT be added to the waiting list for the class. If no ACTION column is present, waiting list requests are not allowed. Please note: The waiting list option will be available only during the term immediately prior to that in which a limited enrollment class is offered.
“Course is not available for registration at this time”
