The 2015 Calendar Photo Contest ends Monday, June 16, 2014.
Lawrence University will award twelve (12) $50 cash prizes to students who submit photos of the Lawrence University campus, Björklunden, or student life/activities that are selected for inclusion in the 2015 Lawrence calendar. To be eligible, photographers must be a currently enrolled student at Lawrence University. All photography must be the original work of the student entering the contest.
Enter by emailing howsed@lawrence.edu and write 2015 Calendar Photo Contest Entry in the subject line. Provide your name, LU ID#, class year, email address, phone number, title of the photo, location of the photo, date the photo was taken, a suggested caption, and the names of any people in the photo, if any.
Attach a high-resolution digital photo (300 dpi or greater) to the email. Photos that are not high-resolution are not suitable for calendar printing and unfortunately will not be selected as winning entries. Please take your photos horizontally, as vertical photos will not be selected for the calendar.
A panel of Lawrence University judges will select the photos that will appear in the 2015 calendar. The decisions of the judges are final.
Winners will be notified by email that their photo has been selected.
Once submitted, all photos become the property of Lawrence University and will not be returned. By entering, the student photographer grants Lawrence the rights to use submitted photos in university publications and online. Lawrence agrees to identify the photographer when it uses the photos.
If faces of people appear in the submitted photos, the entrant must identify the names of the people who are in the photo. It is the responsibility of the photographer to inform those people that this photo may be published in Lawrence University materials.
All photos are subject to verification and may be rejected for any reason. Lawrence University is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries, or for any error, human, technical or otherwise, which may occur in the processing of entries. Participation in this contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these official rules.
Lawrence University reserves the right to use the winner's names and hometown for university purposes without consideration.
Winners of the 2014 calendar contest will be made available as soon as the judging is complete.
