Fiddle Workshop with Eileen Ivers, Grammy-award-winning violinist

Please join us for a fiddle workshop with Grammy awarded, Emmy nominated, Eileen Ivers. Up to 20 high school violin students (middle school students are welcome, but sight-reading ability must be at least mid-Suzuki Book 2) will participate as a group; no prepared repertoire necessary. We are grateful to the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra for providing this opportunity to the community.

She is the original Musical Star of Riverdance, and nine-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion. Eileen has shared the stage with Sting, Hall and Oates, The Chieftains, Patti Smith, Al Di Meola, and Steve Gadd. Her music can be heard on movie soundtracks including Gangs of New York. She has performed for Presidents and Royalty worldwide. Fiddler Eileen Ivers has established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.
