Hear It, Play It

Have you ever wanted to plunk out your favorite melody by not known where to start? Let's connect the music we hear in our lives and in our heads with the music we study and perform through out instruments and voice.

By listening to a wide range of music, playing improvisation games, developing strategies for learning music by ear, and dipping our toes into composition, Hear It, Play It will help get the music we hear out into the world. Although the class is geared toward high school students, adults are welcome.

Prospective students should:

  • Be able to read music
  • Have at least intermediate-level mastery of an instrument (singers welcome!)
