David Hamilton, Symphonic Band conductor, is the band director at Webster Stanley Middle School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He graduated from Lawrence University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education with an instrumental emphasis. While attending Lawrence, David was a part of the Lawrence University Wind Ensemble which was selected to play at the CBDNA conference in March 2008. In 2009, the Lawrence Wind Ensemble was the winner of Downbeat magazine’s best collegiate classical ensemble in the country.
David has been the horn coach of the Lawrence Academy Wind Ensemble along with teaching private lessons. He has worked closely with horn teachers such as James DeCorsey, Richard Watkins, Michael Thompson, Bill Barnewitz and Anna Skrupky. He has played as a member of The Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, Vic Ferrari, The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, The Lawrence Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Horn Ensemble and Gamelan Cahya Asri.
