SUBJECT: Search Update
I am writing to provide another update on the search for the 15th president of Lawrence University. The search committee met most recently on November 5 to select a "short list" of candidates who have been invited to participate in confidential preliminary interviews with the committee. The committee selected these candidates from a larger number of promising individuals, based on information they submitted and reference calls made by the committee. Following the preliminary interviews, the committee will invite one or more finalists to visit the campus and meet confidentially with selected university constituents. More information about those visits will be forthcoming in December.
The committee is very pleased with the quality of the semi-finalist candidates and is confident that the search will conclude on schedule. If you have any questions, please direct them to me.
