If reading this list is starting to make your mouth water, you’re not alone. With the opening of the Warch Campus Center, dining services at Lawrence have taken a delicious step forward. Bon Appétit Management Company is the new dining services provider. With its emphasis on sustainable food service, Bon Appétit provides diners with tantalizing menus featuring fresh foods and ingredients — making frozen or prepared food a thing of the past. The company places a strong emphasis on using meat and poultry that is hormone free and purchasing from suppliers who employ sustainable farming practices. Bon Appétit is partnering with SLUG (Sustainable Lawrence University Garden) for fresh vegetables and is sourcing as many other ingredients as possible locally including milk, cheese, bread and rolls.
So far Bon Appétit is getting rave reviews from students, faculty and staff for its creative menus and the variety of venues at which they can be enjoyed.
What’s on the menu?
Andrew Commons offers an all-you-can-eat buffet. With stops at any number of specialty stations, this dining experience is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach:
- All day breakfast bar
- Stockpots — soup, stew and chili
- Garden fresh salads — all dressings are made from scratch
- Vegan Vegetarian
- Comfort — Mom’s home cooking
- Italian pies — pizza, calzones, Stromboli cooked in a fire hearth oven
- The Grill — short order breakfast food to dinner entrees
- Antipasto Bar
- Deli
- Global Market — global cuisine including rice and noodle bowls, curries and sambals
- Desserts
Kaplan’s Grill features hot sandwiches, burgers, appetizers and late night snacks. Patrons can also enjoy bagels, breakfast sandwiches and peruse a deli case filled with grab-and-go specialty sandwiches and paninis.
Pat’s Coffee Central is a full-service coffee shop offering fresh-baked pastries, desserts and hand-dipped ice cream.
In addition to providing dining services at Lawrence, Bon Appétit offers catering services for all on-campus and community events held in the Warch Campus Center such as meetings, holiday parties and weddings.
Lawrentians and members of the Fox Valley community are always welcome to enjoy a meal or a beverage at any of the Warch Campus Center venues. Its tantalizing offerings will ensure that nobody will go away hungry.
