Best, a professor emeritus of Butler University, has completed the ninth edition of Research in Education, a textbook first published in 1959. Since publication of the fifth edition in 1986, he has had a co-author, James V. Kahn of the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In use for over 42 years in universities around the world, the book has been published in Spanish, Chinese, and two national languages of India.
