“Islam in America: A View of Dearborn, Michigan” Reception and Lecture
6:00 p.m. reception, 7:00 p.m. lecture - Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church
Martyn Smith, assistant professor of religious studies, describes the basic tenets of the modern Islamic faith as practiced in America. Using Dearborn, Michigan as an example, Professor Smith examines how American Muslim faith differs from that practiced in other parts of the world. A reception precedes the lecture.

Associate professor of music and acclaimed pianist Michael Kim comes to Milwaukee in a concert at the Pabst Theatre. A reception with alumni, parents, and friends will follow.

American Choral Masterpieces Tour
7:30 p.m. - St. Robert’s Church, Shorewood
The Lawrence University Concert Choir (Richard Bjella, director) and Cantala women’s choir (Phillip A. Swan, director) perform compositions from American composers including the world premiere of Andrew Rindfleisch’s Careless Carol.

Professor of Biology Nick Maravolo, an authority on Wisconsin botany, leads a guided tour of the Boerner Botanical Gardens during their spring blooming season. Meet with guests following the tour for a reception in the Boerner’s Garden Room.
