"The Lawrence Difference: Difference at Lawrence"

University President Richard Warch will present his annual convocation address to the Lawrence community, marking the official start of the 2003-04 academic year. This is his 25th and final matriculation as president of Lawrence. Warch, who will retire in June, 2004, is the second-longest serving president in Lawrence history.
In his address, Dr. Warch will discuss the notion of community and the challenges posed by the diversity of that community, including an examination of the recent University of Michigan court cases and racial diversity.
