Focus On: Chicago

Beyond the Wisconsin Heartland, Chicago, the Second City, has always been a "second home" for Lawrence. With the largest concentration of Lawrence and Milwaukee-Downer alumni anywhere, a major market for recruitment of new students, and strong relationships with corporations, foundations, and educational institutions, the connections between Chicago and Lawrence are multifaceted, deeply rooted, and enduring. Accordingly, as Lawrence works to enhance its visibility, it makes good sense to begin our efforts in the Windy City. Thanks to support from trustee emeritus J. Thomas Hurvis,'60, and Naomi Gitlin, '85, a number of programs and activities are planned to spread the word of Lawrence throughout the metropolitan area.
