Use by Faculty, Staff and their Families

Policy Statement

Lawrence University invites faculty, staff and their family to use its facilities. Faculty, staff and their families with the Lawrence identification card can use the Seeley G. Mudd Library and the Buchanan-Kiewit Recreation Center. Those receiving these privileges must comply with the procedures that are outlined in this policy.

Procedures

  1. Faculty, staff and their dependents who are 16 and older must secure a Lawrence identification card at Downer Commons. A photo I.D. will be required.
  2. Dependents of faculty and staff age 16 and older must update their card by September 1 of each year by going to Downer Commons and reactivating the card.
  3. Dependents age sixteen and older who are claimed on faculty or staff tax returns are eligible to receive an identification card. Those younger than 16 may use the Recreation Center and Library accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  4. Faculty, staff and their dependents age 16 and older must present their identification card to enter the Recreation Center.
  5. Faculty, staff and their dependents 16 and older must present their identification card to use the library.
  6. Temporary cards for access to the Library or Recreation Center may be issued by the Library or the Recreation Center.
