Use of Materials: Visitors
Northeastern Wisconsin Residents | Visitors from Outside the Area
Visitors to the Mudd Library are always welcome. Here are a few things you should know before you arrive:
A coin-operated photocopier is available to make copies of library materials:
$.10 per black and white copy 8 ½ x 11” paper
$.20 per black and white copy 11 x 17” paper
$.50 per color copy 8 ½ x 11” paper
$1.00 per color copy 11 x 17” paper
Wireless access is not availabe to visitors at this time, but computers in the reference area on the first floor can be used for research purposes.
To check out materials from the Mudd Library, residents of Northeast Wisconsin need to be aware of the following:
- Residents must obtain a FVLC or a NEWIL courtesy card from their local public or academic library prior to coming to the Mudd..
- The courtesy card will allow the check out of specific books, scores, and documents
- Courtesy card patrons are limited to a total of 5 items at a time and a new courtesy card must be obtained for each check out..
- Library materials that may not be checked out include: CDs, DVDs, videocassettes, audiocassettes, LPs, periodicals, reference materials, special collection materials, course reserves, and other audio/visual materials.
- New courtesy cards must be presented along with the item(s) if wishing to renew them.
- All items are subject to recall if Lawrence students, faculty, or staff have need of these materials.
- Interlibrary Loan services are reserved for Lawrence students, faculty, and staff only.
Visitors from outside the area are also welcome to use the library for research or study purposes. All materials may be used in the library but is not available for checkout.
