Private rooms are available in the Mudd Library for Lawrence University students, faculty and staff to use for academic or administrative functions, and for individual and group study.
Classroom 401 is available only for academic or administrative functions; classes take precedence. Call Tom Sykes at 832-6757 to reserve this room, or e-mail him.
The Milwaukee-Downer Room (formerly the "Heritage Room") and the Lincoln Reading Room can also be reserved for academic or administrative functions on an occasional (i.e., not regularly-scheduled) basis. To make a reservation for either of these locations call Trudi van Beuningen-Hamilton at 832-6964, or send her an e-mail. If these two areas are not otherwise in use they are available for individual or group study on a first-come first-served basis.
The Media Center on the Library's main floor has five viewing/listening rooms that are self-reservable - reservation sheets are posted on the doors. Sign up for the times you want, but there's a two and a half hour limit for each session.
Groups of two or more people can use the group study rooms on the second and third floors of the Library. These two rooms are available during library hours, but they can't be reserved in advance. If they are not occupied, feel free to use them.
