Media Services includes facilities for music and language listening, video viewing, and digital video/audio editing.
Video Viewing
Five viewing/listening rooms are available in Media Services (one will seat four to eight persons, the other four seat one or two persons). The rooms are equipped with multi-region VCRs, monitors, DVD players, and VGA/HDMI wall plates. Room use is restricted to Lawrence University students, faculty, and staff by card access. A weekly schedule for room use is posted on each door every Monday. You may sign up for only one two and one-half hour session at a time. Academic viewing and listening take priority over recreational use. To gain access to a room, you will need your University ID card.
Language and Music Listening
Listening Stations are available on a first-come first-served basis in Media Services. Equipment available at the listening stations includes turntables, cassette decks, CD players, headphones and computers.
Digital Video & Audio Editing Lab
The Digital Video & Audio Editing Lab allows students, faculty, and staff of Lawrence University to edit digital video and audio segments for use in presentations and projects. To use the lab, you must make arrangements with the Media Services or Instructional Technology Director, so that someone can be available to assist you.
