Government Documents Collection
The Mudd Library is part of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). We are also a Selective Depository Library for State of Wisconsin documents, which means that we receive a portion of the thousands of documents published by Wisconsin state agencies.
To find U.S. government publications, begin with our Government Documents guide. This guide contains categorized links to federal and state documents, federal resources, agencies and branches of the federal government, statistics, geographic and map information, and tax information.
When searching for government documents in the library catalog, try using keywords such as Department of the Interior or Government Publishing Office, then use the facets to narrow down to more specific departments (such as Geological Survey or National Park Service) and your desired subjects (such as mines or California). Keep in mind that not all of our government documents on the second floor have been included in our catalog. This is an ongoing project.
