University Award for Excellence in Teaching Citations

The award for Excellence in Teaching is awarded each year at Commencement to a faculty member to recognize outstanding teaching performance. This award has been given since 1959. Citations read by the University President when the degrees are awarded are provided below by year.

Citations from 1978-1979 were read by President Thomas Smith, 1980-2004 citations were read by President Richard Warch, and citations from 2005 through the current year were read by President Jill Beck.
