Artist's Statement:
I let the quality of cardboard take over the quality of the face. A face is smooth and natural, while cardboard is hard and synthetic. It is interesting to see the contrasting qualities put together. How would you feel having such a geometric face? It might look good as a piece of art but nobody would actually want such a face. This is an enlarged portrait of that unwanted face.
