The Memorial Union opened for business in March of 1952. The union is situated on a bluff overlooking the Fox River. It is a frequent meeting place for campus groups and organizations. It is home to the Viking Room, the Coffeehouse, the Union Grill, the Volunteer and Community Service Center, the Information Desk, the Game Room, LUCC offices and the office of the associate dean of campus activities.
