This postcard depicts Main Hall, the heart of the Lawrence campus. It is the most visible symbol of the Lawrence tradition. It originally contained all of the college classrooms, the laboratory, the library, the administrative and faculty offices, a dining room and living quarters. Today it is home to the Classics, English, French, German, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Russian and Spanish departments.
