Postcard: c. 1947.
This postcard was sent out to Lawrence alumni as part of a fundraising campaign for a student union. The proposal pictured on this postcard was for a "super-union" complete with a ballroom and bowling alleys, that would connect the observatory to the campus gym. This proposal was abandoned in 1947, when, on a used envelope, President Nathan Pusey sketched out the plan for our current union.
