The Mudd Library has plenty of options for individual and group study:
-
Large tables, study carrels and arm chairs are available throughout the library.
-
The Milwaukee-Downer Room and The Lincoln Reading Room, on the main floor, as well as The Kruse Room, on the 4th floor, are beautiful and comfortable spaces for study.
-
In the Media Center on the main floor, there are individual carrels as well as 5 private rooms all equipped for listening to and viewing materials from the media collections.
-
There are additional group study spaces on the second and third floors. The group study room on the second floor has a large screen monitor for group viewing or for practicing presentations.
-
The library also offers nine individual study rooms (six on fourth floor and 3 on second floor) that are assigned to students on a term-by-term basis. Preference is given to seniors working on honors projects and then to students whose research depends heavily on library materials. If you are interested in applying for an office, submit the Student Office Request Form.

These maps will help you find where on each floor study spaces are located. Study hard!

Please note that the upper floors in the library are meant for quiet study and your courtesy is appreciated.
