Lawrence has a wide range of facilities available for use by community organizations for public and private functions.  

In addition to weddings and special events at the Warch Campus Center, Lawrence provides a variety of venues that are perfect for meetings, conferences, performances, summer camps, and more. Venue capacity varies from 1,147 seats in Memorial Chapel to 50 or fewer in various lecture halls around campus, plus everything in between.

Available spaces include:

  • Academic buildings, including Main Hall 

  • Björklunden 

  • Athletic facilities, including the Banta Bowl and courts in Alexander Gymnasium 

  • Performance facilities, including Memorial Chapel and Stansbury Theater

  • Lecture halls, including Worcester Auditorium in the Wriston Art Center 

  • Lounges and reception areas, including the Thomas A. Steitz Hall of Science Atrium 
     

Facility Availability 

Space availability and event support, such as catering and audio-visual, vary throughout the year based on the university’s academic calendar and ongoing campus activities.  

During the summer, facility requests may be accommodated at any time within the calendar week. Most Lawrence facilities, except for the Warch Campus Center, are not available during the regular academic year (September through June) and use may be restricted to evenings and weekends.  

Facility Pricing  

Rates for the use of Lawrence facilities vary depending on the status of the organization, including educational partners, not-for-profit organizations, and commercial organizations, as well as the space itself.  

Full-day and half-day rates are available on most facilities. A half-day is typically four hours or less, depending on the space and type of use.
