PHIL 300:
Epistemology
We will examine
basic
questions about the nature, source(s), and extent
of human knowledge.
Main Topic
for Term II AY 08-09:
Skepticism.
Texts:
I
have decided go “bookless.” All readings for the course will be on
Moodle.
Requirements:
We will be
writing a “dissertation” on Skepticism. Each of student will write a
chapter. I will write the introduction, assign readings that will be
helpful (I hope)—given the direction the class in taking, and
present certain material in lectures. Chapters can be historical or
contemporary. Grades will be determined by your contribution to that
dissertation. You will be required to make two presentations (25%
each) to the class and to both write (25%) and re-write (25%) your
chapter of the dissertation.
- Just
another day in Epistemology class?
