Frank Lewis received his BA in art and literature from Emory and Henry College in Virginia and his MA in Art History from the University of Chicago, where he has also completed coursework for a Phd. He has taught art history for longer than he cares to recall at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, MIAD, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and The Universities of Wisconsin, Madison, Milwaukee, and Parkside. He was the art critic for the Milwaukee Sentinel, a founding Co-Editor of Art Muscle magazine, and the editor of Metalsmith magazine. Presently he is the Director of Exhibitions and Curator of the Collections of the Wriston Art Galleries at Lawrence University.
