I was born on the 10^th of January 1967 in Sioux City, Iowa.  Since then I have spent time living in the following locations:

Northfield, Minnesota (1985-1989, attended Carleton College)

I am married to Laura C. Smythe, headmaster and teacher at The Academy.

We have two daughters, born in separate millennia (Emma, 1998 and Kathryn, 2001).
