  take note!IMPORTANT NOTE: take note!
In May of 2002, the Lawrence library announced that "computer services has installed proxy software which will allow faculty, staff, and students to have off-campus access to almost any licensed database listed in the library research and reference web pages."

"Links on the library's electronic resources pages will automatically route through the proxy when users are on campus, but will require an initial authentication process when first used off campus. This involves establishing a "certificate" on the home computer."
