My name is Sarah Mortenson, and I have recently received a degree in instrumental music education and trombone performance at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. While student teaching during the fall semester of 2005, I taught at the middle school level - working with band as well as string orchestra.

My teaching experience has wide scope. As a student teacher, I have taught everything from one on one lessons to 80-piece band rehearsals, as well as many variation in between. In 2004, I conducted a college orchestra performing Peter and the Wolf for 700 elementary students. At that time I also went into 8 elementary schools to give pre-concert presentations to the students attending the concert. During my summer breaks, I have also been an overnight camp counselor and music instructor for students 12-18 years old at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
