Ronin Attain Their Long-cherished Desired. Series: Kanadehon Chushingura (Model of the Kana Syllabry: The Forty-seven Loyal Retainers). Ichiyusai Kuniteru ga (drawn)-in yellow cartouche along right edge The forty-seven ronin successfully raid Moronao's mansion in Kamakura. They place the head of Moronoa on the tomb of their late master and pray for the repose of his soul.

Kanadehon Chushingura Act X: Scene at the Amakawaya House, ca.1850
Series: Kanadehon Chushingura (Model of the Kana Syllabary: The Forty-seven Loyal Retainers). A barge shipping agent in Sakai, Amakawaya Gihei is asked to procure arms and weapons and to transport them to Kamakura. In order to see his activities secret he must divorce his beloved wife Osono (a relative of the family of the enemy spy Kudaiyu) and he must discharge all his employees. Yuranosuke decided to use "Amakawaya" as the password of his revenge party of forty-seven loyal ronin.
