All new students are required to attend the advising luncheon following the President’s Welcome to meet their assigned faculty advisors, learn about the advising process, schedule individual advising appointments, and discuss placement exams.

For those students who wish to take placement exams. Testing, including on-line testing, concludes at 5:00 p.m. Students should allot 1-2 hours for each test and should not plan to begin any single test after 3:30 p.m. Results of tests that are completed after 5:00 p.m. may not be available in time for advising appointments.

Schedules for nearby worship services are available in your residence hall.

Conservatory auditions are scheduled by the Conservatory of Music and are posted in the Music-Drama Center. For further information, contact the Conservatory Help Desk, Conservatory office, or ensemble director.

ID card photographs may be taken on arrival day or during business hours during the week. ID cards are needed to access dining facilities and the Recreation Center and for checking out library materials. Photos are taken in the Dining Services office, Downer Commons, first floor.

Information Technology Services is available to assist you with computer-related issues
and computer account information. Stop by the Instructional Technology Center
(Mudd Library, Room 214 – second floor), Monday–Friday during business hours.

If you have changes to your course schedule after meeting with your academic advisor and/or completing placement exams, you will finalize those changes during your assigned web
registration time. Watch for details in an e-mail you will receive after your arrival on campus.
