National Alliance on Mental Illness Fox Valley WALKs
- DATE: Sat, Oct 4
- TIME: 7:45-8:45 AM Check-in, 9:00 AM Opening Ceremony, 9:30 AM Walk starts
- WHERE: Memorial Park, Appleton
- WHAT: A nationwide fundraising and mental health awareness program to raise support for education, reseach and advocacy of schizophrenia, bipola disorder, major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and severe anxiety disorders. Students can form a team and walk together. While donations from friends/family are encouraged, a registration fee is not required.

Walk to Defeat ALS
- DATE: Sun, Oct 5
- TIME: 9:30 AM Registration, 10:30 AM Walk starts
- WHERE: Memorial Park, Appleton
- WHAT: Start a team, join a team or join as an individual to support the ALS Association. Burger and Brat Buffet following the walk.

Heckrodt Wetland Reserve
- DATE: Sat, Oct 10
- TIME: 5:30 pm- 8:30 pm
- WHERE: Heckrodt Wetland Reserve Menasha, WI
- WHAT: Creepy Crawlies Halloween Event, Friday Oct 10, 20-30 volunteers needed to help with Nature Center events, making crafts, Little Spooks kids trail, illuminated hayride, Haunted Trail, and set up and take down.
