Student Service Organizations

Is your student group interested in working with the VCSC? Here's a guide to start you out.

Adopt an Agency Program:

Adopt an Agency is a way many Lawrence organizations create sustained relationships with community organizations. To start this process, fill out an Adopt an Agency proposal form and drop it off at the Volunteer Center (or email it to us) and a member of our staff will help you find the perfect organization for your group!

Once you've picked an agency, this form will help your organization make a plan to keep this relationship strong and wonderful. Email or drop it off at the Volunteer Center.

The Committee on Community Service and Engagement

The Committee on Community Service and Engagement is a new LUCC committee created with the intention to represent the volunteer community on campus.  The members consist of representatives from large, active volunteer-focused student organizations, as well as members of the VCSC.  The goal of this committee is to provide a way for these organizations to meet and share upcoming events, network with other like-minded volunteers, and work together to promote the voice of volunteers on campus.  An important responsibility of this committee is to promote and distribute the Humanitarian Projects Grant, which is a grant that is available to students looking to do a volunteer-based project on campus or in the community.

Current student organizations represented on the committee:
CADY - Confidence and Determination in Youth
GlamourGals
GlobeMed
Habitat for Humanity
LARY Buddy - Lawrence Assistance Reaching Youth
NAfME - National Association for Music Education
PAW - People for Animal Welfare
