| "Believing that I was born for the service of mankind, and regarding the care of the commonwealth as a kind of common property which, like the air and the water, belongs to everybody, I set myself to consider in what way mankind might be best served, and what service I was myself best fitted by nature to perform." -- Francis Bacon |
VITAL Tutoring is a free service provided by Lawrence Student Volunteers for elementary through high school students in the Fox Valley area. We match Lawrence volunteers with students who need help in a wide variety of academic subjects. Our volunteer tutors, after having accepted a match, arrange to meet with the students for one hour once a week at the Seeley G. Mudd Library at Lawrence University (see #33 on the campus map).
